If we are sad for some reason, we believe that reason made us sad. However, if we didn’t have sadness within us, we wouldn’t be sad when something happened.
Feeling sad without reason indicates that there is sadness within you. The sadness can be fully acknowledged as yours only when you feel it without any reason.
Another perspective is that sadness can become so overwhelming within you that it manifests itself.
If you don’t know the true nature of that emotion, you will find it difficult to deal with it. It’s like asking a cup not to overflow when it’s already full.
We live our lives as directors and actors who create the film called ‘my life’ from the minds we inherited from previous generations. That movie stirs up many emotions within us. Everyone can see their own movie, but no one else can.
I recommend meditation that allows you to look back on what kind of movie you’ve created and how it’s creating today.
This meditation helped me to stop being carried away by my overflowing emotions and confusion. It enabled me to see my life objectively and freed me from my emotions.
If you go through this process, you will realize that what you truly want is not to push away that sadness.
You may think that some events and people in your life are making you miserable right now, but through all of those experiences, you will be able to understand and accept their meanings.
All emotions become a guide to finding your true self and living as that self. That’s true freedom.
